This is a very different sermon from the two we have read previously.  My questions for any who care to answer:

1) What did you think of the sermon's design (prayer instead of lecture style)?  Was it effective?

2) Burghardt leads us to much the same conclusion as Fosdick - that we are all responsible for war in little and big ways and that as Christians we should be aware of our own culpability in conflict.  Did it come across differently in this sermon?

3) What is Burghardt saying about the role of the church (not just Christians) in war?
