Local

First Presbyterian Church supports the local ministries of several agencies in Kenosha including WoMomen’s and Children’s Horizons, the Shalom Center, Walkin in My Shoes, and the Chaplaincy program at the Kenosha County Detention Center.  Through monetary donations and hands-on participation in many programs we support their work in this community.  In addition, we support the Back to School Love Outreach that distributes backpacks full of school supplies to families that need them, run Team Tannenbaum to distribute Christmas trees to nursing home and homebound residents, and respond to emergency needs when feasible.

Regional

As a part of the Presbytery of Milwaukee, First Presbyterian Church supports a number of regional ministries. In particular we focus our participation on the Bread of Healing Health Clinic in Milwaukee, Habitat for Humanity, and the San Jose Church in Beloit, Wisconsin.

Global

For several years we have supported mission trips for youth and adults to several parts of the country and international destinations.  This is not only a chance to serve the people of those communities, but also to build partnerships and educate our members about God’s work in the world.  We help support a missionary, Nadia Ayoub, in Ukraine.  We also support other international missions through the Presbyterian Church (USA) and often take special collections for Presbyterian Disaster Assistance and other global programs.  We also participate in Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child.  We have recently added Living Waters for the World (www.livingwatersfortheworld.org) to our list of mission funds recipients.
